KORLOY Inc. has newly launched Alphamill Nick type insert which is specialized for rough machining.
A developing point of Alphamill Nick type insert is to reinforce conventional Alphamill's feature ; high depth of cut machining. By implementing Nick grooves at the edge part of inserts to enhance chip breaking, its applicable range gets wider to higher depth of cut and higher feed machining relatively to the conventional type. In the end, it maximizes productivity with improved machining efficiency.
Alphamill Nick type inserts are also interchangeable with the conventional typed Alphamill holders so it ensures to minimizes expenses for tool changes. With this advantage, Alphamill line-up is completed to deal with various workpiece materials and diversified application from roughing to finishing by simply changing its chip breakers. (MM - General usage, MF - Light cutting, MA - Aluminum machining, MN - Nick typed for roughing)
As Alphamill Nick type inserts work properly in a pair due to its chip breaker structure, it is recommended to apply for cutting holders with even numbered flutes, and to utilize it for multi-edge type cutting holders for maximizing its facility.
