HFMD adopted double-sided 4 corner inserts, and their shallow design allows to implement more flutes at the equal cutter diameter in comparison with the other conventional tools so it leads to improvement in productivity in the end.
Its cutting edge has high rake angle and helix design on it so it makes to lessen cutting load while machining, and to achieve higher cutting condition in velocity and feed.
As HFMD applied wedge structure at its side part of clamping seat and uses bigger size screw, it also obtained better clamping stability. This feature also contributed to minimize noise and vibration, prevent inserts' breakage, and improved surface roughness condition of workpieces after machining.
