KORLOY has launched a new grade of the universal series, PC5400. Its excellent versatility enables working on various work pieces ranged of P, M, K, S.
First of all, the ultra fine substrate with high toughness and PVD coating technology of high lubrication were applied to provide excellent cutting performance and stability. That is why troubles like chipping and breakage have been significantly decreased.
Especially under the condition of frequent built-up edges, PC5400 ensures excellent wear resistance and surface roughness while cutting carbon steel or mild steel.
It features excellent tool life and stability by delaying chipping and breakage, when wet turning application in low interrupted machining of hard to cut materials such as stainless steel or HRSA as well as when roughing cutting with irregular surface D.O.C., and milling with long overhang or deep shouldering.
When matched with our chip breaker, ML for hard to cut materials, it is even possible to cut titanium and inconel. The PC5400, our new grade of the universal series, is available in machining on a wide range of work pieces. It has been already applied to many of our products and surely will provide excellent stability and performance.
