Korloy Inc recently has released PC2500 series for high hardened steel.
When machining the work pieces with high hardness over HRC45, the tool wear generally progresses rapidly due to the friction between tools and work pieces
Also, high speed machining is impossible due to high impulsive force and it is hard to expect satisfactional tool life under the low cutting condition due to chipping caused by built-up edge.
Korloy Inc has released PC2505, 2510 as a new milling solution to solve above problems.
The newly released PC2505 is a grade for machining of ultra high hardened work pieces. As a grade which has excellent wear resistance, it prolongs tool life when machining heat treated high hardened steels(more than HRC45) or pressed die steel.
PC2510 is the grade for machining high hardened steel and pre-hardened steel. Its high toughness ultrafine substrate is ideal for interrupted cutting of high hardened steel and wet cutting with massive thermal shock.
